Taking place from Thursday 11th December and culminating on Saturday 3rd January, the 2025-26 PDC World Darts Championship sees the best 128 players in the world of darts fight it out at Alexandra Palace in London for the right to be called world champion.
There is £5m in prize money on offer this time around, with £1m being awarded to the player who lifts the Sid Waddell Trophy.

What is different abut this year's PDC World Darts Championship?
There has been a slight format change compared to previous years. The key differences are:
- There will be 128 participants - the most in thee tournament's history.
- All players, including the 32 seeds, will now enter at the first-round stage.
- A minimum of four women will make up the field.

Who has qualified for the 2025-26 PDC World Darts Championship?
The top 40 players from the PDC Order of Merit - found here - qualify automatically.
The next 40 players come from the one-year PDC Pro Tour Order of Merit, found here.
The final 48 places come from a variety of international qualifiers.

Luke Littler won his first - and surely not last - world title by defeating Michael van Gerwen 7-3 in the final.
