Josh Rock vs Callan Rydz prediction
Josh Rock underlined his status as one of the strongest title contenders outside of the two Lukes with a fine 3-0 win over Joe Comito in the second round.
The Northern Irishman produced an average of 101.32 - his highest on the Alexandra Palace stage - to see off the Australian, and looked much more confident than he did in his first-round win over Gemma Hayter.
Callan Rydz produced an excellent display to see off Daryl Gurney in his own second-round encounter, firing in eight 180s in his 3-2 victory.
Rydz hasn't played his best darts this year but is once again raising his game at the biggest event in the sport, with the two-time quarter-finalist a dangerous opponent to face right now.
Rock, though, is growing into the tournament nicely and we fancy him to avenge his World Cup of Darts teammate's defeat.
