Jonny Clayton vs Andreas Harrysson prediction
Jonny Clayton held off an inspired Niels Zonneveld last time out, with the Welshman eventually winning 4-3 in a match that saw him average 98.44 and convert 46.7% of his double attempts.
The Welshman is a hugely consistent performer at the PDC World Darts Championship and has now reached the fourth round on each of his last five Alexander Palace appearances.
Andreas Harrysson, meanwhile, is enjoying the finest moment of his career at the age of 50. The Swede is making his Ally Pally debut this year and has so far accounted for Ross Smith, Motomu Sakai and most recently Ricardo Pietreckzo.
Harrysson is a significant underdog here but, having averaged 96.11 over six sets against Pietreczko, has shown he is capable of a very high standard.
Clayton is the reliable choice here as he very rarely underperforms on the big stage, but the Swedish qualifier is capable of taking at least a set.
Jonny Clayton vs Andreas Harrysson tip: Jonny Clayton to win & over 4.5 sets
