Luke Littler vs Ryan Searle prediction

Luke Littler eased into the semi-finals with a 5-0 whitewash of Krzysztof Ratajski on New Year's Day, as he continues his quest to defend his world title.

The world number one finished 55.6% of his double attempts in a clinical display against the Pole, and largely got the crowd back on his side after the 'boo-gate' saga against Rob Cross in the previous round.

Ryan Searle is breaking new ground at the PDC World Darts Championship with the 38-year-old defeating Jonny Clayton 5-2 at the quarter-final stage.

'Heavy Metal' now finds himself in the top eight in the PDC rankings and has put himself firmly in the conversation for a Premier League spot.

However, Searle's 91.32 average was his lowest of the tournament and he knows he will need to significantly improve upon that if he is to lay a glove on Littler, who is regularly averaging in three figures.

Littler has won all five previous meetings between the pair and is the overwhelming favourite to reach a third straight world final. The 18-year-old has dropped just two sets in the whole tournament and Searle may struggle win more than two here.
