Luke Littler vs Gian van Veen prediction
Luke Littler completely outclassed Ryan Searle in Friday's first semi-final to reach a third Ally Pally final in as many attempts, and he will now aim to go back-to-back at the PDC World Darts Championship for the first time since Gary Anderson achieved that feat ten years ago.
The world number one averaged 105.35 and hit almost 60% of his doubles in another mesmerising display of darting accuracy, with his opponent barely able to lay a glove on him.
He will face first time Ally Pally finalist Gian van Veen, the current world youth and European champion who has truly come of age as an elite player in this tournament.
Facing his idol Gary Anderson at the semi-final stage, the Dutchman held his nerve remarkably well against the Scot, who was playing some superb darts himself throughout a pulsating contest. The 23-year-old averaged 102.99 in his 6-3 victory and was ruthless on his doubles against the two-time champion.
It's fair to say that Littler has had the easier run to the final, and hasn't been tested as often as Van Veen, who also overcame 2024 world champion Luke Humphries at the quarter-final stage.
Van Veen has actually won three of the pair's four meetings in 2025, but those encounters do not carry the same weight as this one. Having been at this stage twice before, Littler knows what the occasion demands and will feel he has what it takes to hold off his opponent.
Expect a barrage of 180s from the two brightest young talents in darts, with Littler tipped to edge a potential classic.
