All of Harry Kane's FIFA World Cup goals
After sealing his name in the record books not only as England's all-time record goalscorer, but also their top scorer at the FIFA World Cup, we cast an eye on every goal scored by Harry Kane for the Three Lions up-to-and-including FIFA World Cup 2026.
As it stands, Kane has registered 14 goals across the tournament's history, including a Golden Boot-winning six strikes at FIFA World Cup 2018.
Here is a breakdown of all his England goals at the biggest stage of them all.
Last updated after his goal against Mexico in the Round of 16 at FIFA World Cup 2026
Goal 1 – June 18, 2018 vs Tunisia (FIFA World Cup 2018, Group Stage)
It took just 11 minutes of England's FIFA World Cup 2018 campaign for Kane to score his first FIFA World Cup goal in what was his tournament debut. The Three Lions' first game of the group stage saw them face Tunisia and after a header from John Stones off an Ashley Young corner was brilliantly saved, Kane was on hand to turn home the rebound and give England the lead.
Goal 2 – June 18, 2018 vs Tunisia (FIFA World Cup 2018, Group Stage)
Tunisia went on to level from the penalty spot later in the first half and whilst it looked like they would go on to register a point, England and Kane would eventually have the final say in second half stoppage time . Once again, the goal came from a corner kick, this time from Kieran Trippier, whose outswinging cross was won in the air by Harry Maguire. The ball then dropped straight towards Kane at the back post, who nodded in from close range to hand England a 2-1 win.
Goal 3 – June 24, 2018 vs Panama (FIFA World Cup 2018, Group Stage)
The first of three historic goals from Kane against Panama which saw him register only the third FIFA World Cup hat-trick by an England player, came from the penalty spot as Jesse Lingard was brought down in the area with the score already 1-0 to Gareth Southgate's side. Kane made no mistake from the spot, blasting the ball into the top corner beyond the reach of goalkeeper Jaime Penedo.
Goal 4 – June 24, 2018 vs Panama (FIFA World Cup 2018, Group Stage)
A second penalty for England soon followed in first half stoppage time, with Stones the player to be taken down on this occasion as he attempted to make a late run to challenge for the ball from a corner kick. Once again Kane stepped up and once again he scored easily, putting the ball in the excellent the same spot, top corner to the goalkeeper's right, with Penedo this time diving the wrong way.
Goal 5 – June 24, 2018 vs Panama (FIFA World Cup 2018, Group Stage)
Kane would complete his hat-trick just after the hour mark to make it 6-0 to the Three Lions. It came in fortunate fashion, a left-footed shot from outside the box by Ruben Loftus-Cheek striking the back of Kane right-foot and somehow looping into the net, completely wrong footing Penedo. Panama would go on to score a consolation goal, but Kane secured the headlines in a 6-1 England victory as he joined Sir Geoff Hurst and Gary Lineker on the list of Three Lions to score a FIFA World Cup hat-trick.
Goal 6 – July 3, 2018 vs Colombia (FIFA World Cup 2018, Round of 16)
A third penalty for Kane at FIFA World Cup 2026 and certainly the most important one outside of a shootout, as it gave England the lead vs Colombia in their round of 16 encounter. It was the second spot kick awarded to England as a result of a player being brought down following the taking of a corner kick, with Kane himself the man fouled on this occasion by a Colombian player.
The superstar striker picked himself up and under intense pressure, cooly converted straight down the middle to make it six goals for him at FIFA World Cup 2026, enough to end up winning the Golden Boot. England would eventually win that game on penalties with Kane scoring his side's first kick from 12 yards but he would not score in England's next two matches, Southgate's men beating Sweden 2-0 before eventually losing 2-1 to Croatia after extra time in the semi-finals.
Goal 7 – December 4, 2022 vs Senegal (FIFA World Cup 2022, Round of 16)
Kane had to wait until the knockout stage to open his account at FIFA World Cup 2022, scoring England's second goal in a 3-0 win over Senegal in the round of 16. It was an important one as well, coming deep into first half injury time with England leading by a goal to nil. A clinical counter-attack saw Kane put through on goal by Phil Foden's pass following excellent work from Jude Bellingham. Kane then took a touch to advance the ball into the box and compose himself before smashing it past Edouard Mendy and into the net.
Goal 8 – December 10, 2022 vs France (FIFA World Cup 2022, Quarter-Finals)
France were next up for England in the quarter-finals and after Les Bleus had taken the lead in the first half, the Three Lions got their chance to level in the 54th minute. It came in the form of another Harry Kane penalty after Bukayo Saka was tripped in the box by Aurelien Tchouameni, the scorer of France's first goal. Kane sent Hugo Lloris the wrong way, netting his eighth FIFA World Cup goal, half of which had come from the penalty spot.
Whilst Kane would get the opportunity to equalise once again from 12 yards out later in the game after France had retaken the lead, this time he blazed his penalty over the bar as Didier Deschamps' men went on to win 2-1 and knock England out of FIFA World Cup 2022.
Goal 9 – June 17, 2026 vs Croatia (FIFA World Cup 2026, Group Stage)
A third FIFA World Cup and once again there was more penalty drama for Harry Kane. This time, it came in England's very first game against Croatia in the group stage after they were awarded a spot kick early on, Noni Madueke fouled in the box by 40-year-old Luka Modric who was caught attempting to clear the ball. Kane stepped up but saw his penalty saved by Dominik Livakovic.
However, Kane was reprieved by VAR, which had adjudged Livakovic to have stepped off his line before the penalty had been taken due to an unorthodox stutter from Kane right before he struck the ball. A retake was ordered and this time the England captain made no mistake, putting the stutter away and placing the ball to the goalkeeper's left, finding the bottom corner with Livakovic going the wrong way.
Goal 10 – June 17, 2026 vs Croatia (FIFA World Cup 2026, Group Stage)
A second for Kane vs Croatia arrived half an hour after the penalty and came in the form of a second headed goal in his FIFA World Cup career. Declan Rice's corner was nodded home with power by Kane into the corner, putting the Three Lions back in front after Croatia had levelled and drawing Kane level with Gary Lineker on ten FIFA World Cup goals for England.
Goal 11 – June 27, 2026 vs Panama (FIFA World Cup 2026, Group Stage)
England's third group game at FIFA World Cup 2026 was against Panama and after Jude Bellingham had opened the scoring for Thomas Tuchel's side in the 62nd minute, the mercurial midfielder turned provider for Kane just five minutes later, putting a left-footed cross from just outside the penalty area on a plate for the England skipper, who snuck beyond the Panama defender nearest him to head past Orlando Mosquera. This goal made Kane his country's all-time record FIFA World Cup goalscorer.
Goal 12 – July 1, 2026 vs DR Congo (FIFA World Cup 2026, Round of 32)
Arguably Kane's greatest FIFA World Cup performance so far came in the round of 32 against DR Congo at FIFA World Cup 2022. With the African nation leading by a goal to nil in Atlanta, Kane willed his side back into the game and turned things around almost single-handedly.
With 15 minutes to play, Anthony Gordon floated a cross into the box and once again, Kane beat his marker with an intelligent run and placed a hard header towards goal. Whilst the excellent Lionel Mpasi got a hand on the ball, for once he failed to keep the ball out and England had their equaliser.
Goal 13 – July 1, 2026 vs DR Congo (FIFA World Cup 2026, Round of 32)
With England's tails up vs DR Congo following Kane's 12th FIFA World Cup goal of his career, the Three Lions leader wasn't done and his next act was one of his most memorable. The ball fell to Kane on the edge of the penalty area with his back to goal and two touches saw him make space for himself just inside the box. He then unleashed an unstoppable shot with his right-foot past Mpasi and into the roof of net. Kane fell to the floor whilst taking the strike, such was the power he put behind the effort.
The goal not only sent England through to the round of 16 at FIFA World Cup 2026, it also saw Kane surpass Brazilian legend Pele's 12 goals across the competition's history, drawing level with Just Fontaine on 13.
Goal 14 – July 5, 2026 vs Mexico (FIFA World Cup 2026, Round of 16)
Kane didn't stay level with Fontaine for long however, scoring his 14th FIFA World Cup goal at the historic Estadio Azteca. It was a notable goal as well, England's third in what was an enthralling round of 16 tie against Mexico. Kane already had an assist to his name in a match which England led by two goals to one at half-time. But shortly after Tuchel's side had been reduced to ten-men in the second-half, Anthony Gordon won England a penalty, drawing a foul from Mexican goalkeeper Raul Rangel.
Under the most intense of pressure, Harry Kane once again delivered for his country, striking hard into the corner with Rangel unable to get close despite guessing correctly and diving to his right-hand-side. It was Kane's sixth successful FIFA World Cup penalty and helped a heroic England edge past the Mexicans by three goals to two.
