Birmingham City have a steam train to deal with here in the form of Southampton. After losing their opening league game by two goals to one, the Saints have not looked back since, winning 3-1 against Stoke City, before thrashing Millwall 5-1 on Saturday. Striker Cyle Larin has been on fire, the Canadian international scoring four goals and containing him will be key to Birmingham’s success in this one.
The Blues have plenty of attacking weapons themselves though and with home advantage, they won’t be afraid to take the game to Southampton, despite the risks that may pose for them defensively. All signs point to an entertaining contest here between two teams who have seen over 2.5 goals scored in five of the six Championship fixtures involving at least one of them so far this season. Therefore, back the same outcome this time around.
