Lazio preview: Surprisingly impressive
Supporters are continuing to protest owner Claudio Lotito and that has led to empty stadiums thus far this season but they are showing support outside of the ground to their Lazio side that have enjoyed their best ever start to a Serie A season.
The Laziale come into this one on the back of demolishing Sassuolo by six goals to two at the Mapei Stadium on Tuesday, courtesy of goals from Gustav Isaksen, Kenneth Taylor, Romano Floriani Mussolini and Mattia Zaccagni as well as Tyrese Noslin brace.
Cagliari preview: Out of form Sardinians
Fabio Pisacane’s Cagliari started the campaign very well with four victories, a draw with Juventus and a narrow defeat to defending champions Internazionale but they now head to the capital city on the back of three successive defeats.
The Sardinians most recently succumbed to a 4-2 loss to Roma at the Olimpico in midweek after taking the lead in that one before even levelling things up in the 81st minute before the Giallorossi pushed themselves clear.

Lazio vs Cagliari prediction
Cagliari are back in the capital city again and needing to sure things up. Having been tight at the back with just three goals conceded in their opening six matches, they have now conceded ten goals in their last three. Gennaro Gattuso, most recently in charge of overseeing Italy’s third successive failure to qualify for a FIFA World Cup in March, has surprised everyone by leading Lazio to eight victories and a draw in their opening nine matches; and a comfortable home win is again to be expected for this one on Sunday.
