Frosinone preview: Entertaining Frosinone

Frosinone come into this one on the back of a thrilling 4-4 draw with Atalanta at the New Balance Arena in Bergamo in a game in which they went 2-0, 3-2 and 4-3 down but pulled themselves back to earn a creditable point.

Following their promotion to the top-flight last season, Frosinone have been impressive thus far as they sit tucked inside the top six and the European spots ahead of the ninth match day of the campaign.

Lecce preview: Beaten at the weekend

Under the management of former Roma boss Eusebio Di Francesco, Lecce have evolved their style somewhat this season and that has led to more victories at this stage of a Serie A season than they have ever had before.

However, the Apulia-based outfit do come into this one on the back of a 2-0 defeat at home to Juventus at Stadio Comunale Via del Mare at the weekend due to first half goals scored by Weston McKennie and Douglas Luiz.

Frosinone team news: Nothing fresh

There are no fresh injury concerns or suspension issues for Frosinone to deal with for this one as experienced Austria international defensive midfielder Florian Grillitsch remains their only absentee.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Palmisani; Oyono, Cittadini, Calvani, Bracaglia; Masini, Calo; Ghedjemis, Schmid, Kvernadze; Raimondo

Unavailable: Grillitsch (Injured)

Questionable:

Lecce team news: Defensive issues

Tiago Gabriel was forced off injured against Juventus and so he is now a doubt for this one with fellow centre-back Kialonda Gaspar sent off late on and so he is now missing through suspension.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Falcone; Veiga, Dembele, Ndaba, Gallo; Kaba, Ngom, Maleh; N’Dri, Geubbels, Fatah

Unavailable: Gaspar (Suspended), Coulibaly (Injured), Ilic (Injured), Berisha (Injured), Pierotti (Injured)

Questionable: Tiago Gabriel (Injured)

Frosinone vs Lecce prediction

Frosinone have performed admirably at the start of this season but they have done so, too, by playing quite an entertaining and front foot style of football, too. Lecce’s evolution in their style should also mean that they themselves remain a threat in the capital city on Thursday, albeit Frosinone have to be sided with for this one given their home advantage.

Frosinone vs Lecce tip: Frosinone to win & both teams to score
