Sevilla preview: Overachieving this season
Due to financial restrictions, Sevilla would have been expected to be involved in another relegation battle this season but they have instead punched their way into the top half of the table under the management of Luis Garcia Plaza.
The Andalusians have endured some frustrating results since the international break with a 3-3 draw against Levante when they led 2-0 and then 3-2 very late on before a 4-1 defeat to Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in their most recent outing.
Osasuna preview: Jago Arrasate is back
Having survived in the final day of last season, Osasuna appointed defensive former Burgos boss Luis Miguel Ramis over the summer but things went wrong quite quickly and they have since brought Jago Arrasate back to El Sadar.
In his first game in charge of his second stint in Pamplona, Osasuna earned themselves a much-needed 2-0 defeat of Racing Santander in Navarre last week, courtesy of goals scored by Ante Budimir and Asier Osambela.
Sevilla team news: Kochorashvili a doubt
Giorgi Kochorashvili suffered a calf injury last week and missed the game with Madrid as he works his way back to full fitness with Marcao sidelined alongside Jon Guridi and Miguel Sierra.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Vlachodimos; Juan Iglesias, Castrin, Kike Salas, Suazo; Agoume, Fofana; Vargas, Gatito, Correia; Ure
Unavailable: Marcao (Injured), Jon Guridi (Injured), Miguel Sierra (Injured)
Questionable: Kochorashvili (Injured)
Osasuna team news: Couple of doubts
Summer signing from Stade Brest, Romain Del Castillo is working his way back to full fitness alongside fellow attacker Aimar Oroz. Jorge Herrando remains sidelined due to a groin injury alongside Asier Bonel.
Predicted XI (4-3-3): Alvaro Fernandez; Rosier, Boyomo, Alejandro Catena, Abel Bretones; Jon Moncayola, Iker Munoz, Moi Gomez; Raul Garcia, Budimir, Dubasin
Unavailable: Jorge Herrando (Injured), Asier Bonel (Injured)
Questionable: Aimar Oroz (Injured), Del Castillo (Injured)
Sevilla vs Osasuna prediction
In his first stint at Osasuna, Jago Arrasate led them to the UEFA Europa Conference League before he endured a tough time of it at a Real Mallorca side that only got worse after his departure and were then relegated. Sevilla’s results have perhaps been better than their performances, despite a better feeling back at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, and perhaps therefore siding with the ‘new manager bounce’ of Osasuna is the way to go for this one in Seville.
Sevilla vs Osasuna tip: Double chance – Osasuna to win or draw
