Toulouse preview: Improved Toulouse

Following the appointment of Jens Bjerthel Askou from Motherwell after Carlos Martinez Novell departed for Bayer Leverkusen, Toulouse endured a tough start to this season but they have improved game by game thus far this season.

Their best came in an impressive 3-0 hammering of usually competitive Le Mans away from home last weekend, courtesy of goals scored by Jon Russell-Rowe, Casper Tengstedt and Aron Donnum.

Troyes preview: Tough return to Ligue 1

Having gained promotion back to Ligue 1 as a member of the City Football Group, Troyes have endured a tough start to this season with just one victory in their opening seven matches as they begin the weekend sitting in the bottom two and the relegation places.

The visitors most recently succumbed to a 3-1 defeat against Lens at Stade de l’Aube last week with Timothe Nkada equalising after 26 minutes before Lens won the game via strikes from Odsonne Edouard and Ruben Aguilar.

Toulouse team news: Several doubts

Toulouse have several fresh doubts for this one as goalkeeper Mathys Nifliore is now potentially sidelined alongside attacking duo Sion Oppong and Ilyas Azizi.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Restes; Messali, McKenzie, Nicolaisen, Tape; Cristian Casseres Jr, Sigur; Donnum, Jorgensen, Tengstedt; Russell-Rowe

Unavailable:

Questionable: Niflore (Injured), Oppong (Injured), Azizi (Injured)

Troyes team news: Boura possibly fit

Ismael Boura is working his way back to full fitness for the visitors but Anis Ouzenadji remains sidelined alongside both Yvann Titi and Yacouba Kone.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Beach; Maronnier, Monfray, Diaz, Gozzi; Diop, Dermane; Mille, Ifnaoui, Nkada; Ripart

Unavailable: Ouzenadji (Injured), Titi (Injured), Kone (Injured)

Questionable: Boura (Fitness)

Toulouse vs Troyes prediction

After beginning the season with two defeats and a draw in their opening four matches, Toulouse have now enjoyed a four-match unbeaten run of form and a more proactive and entertaining style to boot. Only one team have conceded more than a Troyes side that have now lost five games in a row and appear destined for an immediate return to Ligue 2 with Toulouse the firm favourites, especially with their home advantage.
