Torino preview: Improvement in Turin

Following the appointment of Ignazio Abate, Torino stuttered at the start of this season and looked as though they may be set for a relegation battle but they have now collected ten points from their last five matches after back-to-back defeats.

They head into this one on the back of an impressive 3-0 defeat of Parma at the Ennio Tardini last weekend, courtesy of a brace from Giovanni Simeone as well as a strike scored by Scotland international striker Che Adams.

Monza preview: Competitive Monza

Monza gained promotion back to Serie A last season and they have been competitive throughout this campaign, scoring in every game, and they have now got a couple of wins under their belt, too.

The visitors produced an impressive display to hammer high-flying Cagliari by four goals to nil last week, with goals from Eddy Kouadio and Jay Robinson as well as a brace scored by Gustavo Varela.

Torino team news: Nothing fresh

There are no fresh injury concerns for Torino to deal with this weekend as goalkeeper Franco Israel remains sidelined alongside both Niccolo Fortini and Emirlan Ilkhan.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Perri; Comuzzo, Ismajli, Saul Coco; Belghali, Mandragora, Braganca, Cacciamani; Vlasic; Giovanni Simeone, Adams

Unavailable: Franco Israel (Injured), Fortini (Injured), Ilkhan (Injured)

Monza team news: Fresh injuries

Exequiel Zeballos and Yvan Maye are now fresh injuries for the visitors with defender Lorenzo Lucchesi also still sidelined as he is missing through suspension.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Tornqvist; Kouadio, Goglichidze, Carboni; Birindelli, Foe Ondoa, Akinsanmiro, Mangas; Dany Mota, Robinson; Varela

Unavailable: Lucchesi (Suspended), Maye (Injured), Ziolkowski (Injured), Pessina (Injured), Zeballos (Injured)

Questionable:

Torino vs Monza prediction

Both of these sides headed into this season expecting to be involved in a relegation battle in Serie A and there have been suggestions that may come to fruition in these early stages thus far but the two teams have now shown why they may be confident of punching their way into the top half of the table. Given the improved form of both teams, both teams scoring may well be a decent bet for this one in Piedmont.
