Liverpool vs Chelsea prediction

Liverpool come into this one on the back of a 2-0 defeat of Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League at the weekend. The Reds had started underwhelmingly but they have begun to show improvement since their 3-0 shellacking at the hands of Manchester City immediately after the international break.

Xabi Alonso and his Chelsea side have been chaotic and inconsistent throughout the campaign and The Blues, after back-to-back wins after the international break, succumbed to a woeful 2-0 defeat at home to Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge in a game in which the scoreline perhaps flattered the West Londoners.

With the pressure eased in this competition, games can tend to be an entertaining watch and so both teams scoring seems a decent shout on Merseyside.

Liverpool vs Chelsea tip: Both teams to score
