Man City vs Brighton prediction

Manchester City had started the Premier League season with seven wins from seven but they then succumbed to their first league defeat of the campaign at the weekend, beaten 2-1 by Aston Villa at Villa Park. The Cityzens, defending champions of this trophy, hammered Norwich City in the third round last month.

There may come a point when Brighton have to sacrifice this competition as they challenge for the top four in the Premier League and also compete in the UEFA Europa League. The Seagulls were held to a goalless draw in the latter against Jablonec last week before a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool in the former at the weekend.

City will rotate but it may well be that their opponents rotate even more. Brighton may fancy themselves to at least score at the Etihad Stadium but City remain firm favourites.

Man City vs Brighton tip: Man City to win & both teams to score
