Getafe are in a tough spot at the moment with a bit of a war being waged between the manager and the club as they welcome Sevilla to the Coliseum on Sunday.

Getafe preview: Average Getafe

Jose Bordalas’ style of football is infamous for its aggression and hostility with an ultra conservative way of playing that has helped Getafe punch above their weight; finishing eighth and qualifying for Europe last season, for example.

Their busy schedule, though, has led to a tough start to the campaign, though, with Jose Bordalas complaining about his squad but Getafe president, Angel Torres, aggressively refuting that and suggesting it is Getafe’s best squad ever.

Sevilla preview: Steady Sevilla

Sevilla come into this one on the back of backing up a 2-0 defeat of Osasuna in La Liga on Monday by easing past Sporting Hortaleza in the first round of the Copa del Rey on Thursday, winning by three goals to nil away from home.

The Andalusians have been much-improved throughout this season after a few years of battling relegation and, under the management of former Espanyol boss Luis Garcia Plaza, they look as though they could challenge for European football once again.

Getafe team news: Couple of suspensions

As ever, the hosts have the worst disciplinary record in La Liga once again and so they once again have a couple of suspension issues as both Johan Mojica and Mario Martin remain unavailable for the hosts.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): David Soria; Dani Carvajal, Sazonov, Valou; Kiko Femenia, Gudelj, Ramon Terrats, Francho Serrano, Davinchi; Unal, Martin Satriano

Unavailable: Johan Mojica (Suspended), Mario Martin (Suspended), Uche (Injured), Juanmi (Injured)

Questionable: Romero (Fitness), Mangala (Fitness)

Sevilla team news: Nothing fresh

There are no fresh injury concerns or suspension issues for Sevilla to deal with this weekend with experienced defender Marcao remaining sidelined alongside exciting young attacker Miguel Sierra.

Predicted XI (4-4-2): Vlachodimos; Juan Iglesias, Castrin, Kike Salas, Gabriel Suazo; Ejuke, Agoume, Fofana, Correia; Isaac Romero, Stassin

Unavailable: Marcao (Injured), Miguel Sierra (Injured)

Questionable:

Getafe vs Sevilla prediction

In ten matches in La Liga, Getafe are the lowest scorers in the division with just five strikes and just two victories so far this season. They only just overcame Lebrijana in the Copa del Rey in midweek. They come up against a Sevilla side that are moving in the right direction and are performing steadily well – and they have to be the team to be sided with for this one in the Community of Madrid.

Getafe vs Sevilla tip: Double chance – Sevilla to win or draw & under 3.5 goals
