Borussia Monchengladbach preview: Test of character
Borussia Monchengladbach faced a massive test of character after a horrendous start to the season, losing all six of their Bundesliga matches heading into the last round of games. Not many expected them to finally get off the mark away to Stuttgart, but Alexander Blessin’s side had other ideas. After falling behind early on, Gladbach showed tremendous spirit to turn things around and ultimately come out on top.
Joe Scally equalised before Shuto Machino put them in front in the second half, and Kevin Mohya then doubled their lead. Ermedin Demirovic netted his second goal for Stuttgart to set up a tense finish, but Gladbach held on for a 2-3 win. Blessin will now hope that result can spark a turnaround in fortunes.
Paderborn preview: Massive three points
Speaking of massive three points, Paderborn held firm for a huge victory over Hamburg last Saturday. After a tense affair, the hosts gambled late on and were rewarded with two minutes of normal time remaining. Rayan Philippe netting the only goal of the game against his parent club to seal a 1-0 win.
That was only Paderborn's second win of this season's Bundesliga and takes them up to eight points, five more than their opponents this weekend. Kettemann will now be hoping his side can build on that result and move further away from the bottom three.

Borussia Monchengladbach vs Paderborn prediction
With both of these two clubs coming off the back of a victory, neither are expected to adopt a defensive approach, as each sense a huge opportunity to make it two wins in a row. Borussia Monchengladbach can take heart from the fact that Paderborn have scored just six goals in seven league games so far, with only Schalke 04 finding the net fewer times. However, the hosts' defensive record is the worst in the top flight, which in turn gives Paderborn plenty of optimism.
In the end, as has been the case for many Bundesliga fixtures this season, we should see an exciting clash, with both teams pushing bodies forward whenever possible in search of three points. With that in mind, backing both teams to score appears to be the smart play.
