Macarthur FC vs Western Sydney Wanderers prediction

Western Sydney Wanderers found their shooting boots in a big way last time out, hitting five in a resounding 5-2 home victory over Auckland FC. It was a big contrast from their goalless draw away at Sydney FC to open the campaign, and it underlines their ability to adapt and improve from an offensive point of view.

However, while such attacking potency is to be praised, WSW will need to be better at the back if they are to be successful against Macarthur, who also boast four points from their opening two games. Macarthur beat Perth Glory 2-1 and followed that up with a hard-fought 1-1 draw away at Newcastle Jets.

It is unlikely that the Wanderers will be as successful from an attacking point of view against what is a very tough Macarthur backline. The priority for both teams will be to keep their unbeaten starts intact, and neither are likely to take too many risks that could see them caught out. Therefore, it’s worth backing the draw in this one.
