Brisbane Roar vs Auckland FC prediction

Brisbane Roar made a perfect start to the A-League season with a hard-fought win over Perth Glory. Two first-half goals proved enough, despite a second-half rally from Perth that saw them pull one back.

They now face a tough challenge against Auckland FC, whose games have been full of entertainment. Auckland beat Melbourne City 3-1 in their opening match, but most recently went down 5-2 away to Western Sydney Wanderers in a thrilling encounter.

Goals are clearly not a problem for Auckland, which you would expect with an attack of their class. However, keeping them out at the other end is proving to be an issue and that is an opening Brisbane could well take advantage of.

All three A-League games so far involving either Auckland or Brisbane have seen over 2.5 goals scored, and with Auckland’s defensive frailties on show, the expectation is that we will see the same outcome between the pair, regardless of who comes out on top.

Brisbane Roar vs Auckland FC tip: Over 2.5 goals
