Paris preview: Beaten last week
Liam Rosenior was handed the Paris FC job over the summer with the ambitious Parisians not only seeking to avoid so-called ‘second season syndrome’ in Ligue 1 but also kick on and push for European qualification this time around.
After a strong start to the campaign, things have begun to slightly regress and they do head into this one on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Lens at Stade Bollaert-Delelis, despite taking a first half lead in that one via former Burnley winger Luca Koleosho.
Monaco preview: A slight dip
Former Flamengo boss Filipe Luis took charge of Monaco a few months ago and the impressive still young Brazilian coach has enjoyed a positive time of it in the principality, albeit, like Rosenior and Paris, things are taking a slight dip.
The Monegasque have won just one of their last five matches in Ligue 1 since winning against Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes in September; having been held to a 1-1 draw by Lille at Stade Louis II last weekend.
Paris team news: Several new injuries
Paris have several new injury issues for this one with Kevin Trapp, Samir Chergui, Ham Traore and Luca Koleosho all now doubts, too, with Jonathan Ikone working his way back to full fitness.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Nkambadio; Zabi, Coppola, Mbow, Otavio; Lopez, Lees-Melou; Kebbal, Pagis, Simon; Sinayoko
Unavailable: Sangui (Injured)
Questionable: Trapp (Injured), Chergui (Injured), Traore (Injured), Camara (Injured), Matondo (Injured), Koleosho (Injured), Ikone (Fitness)
Monaco team news: Ansu Fati out
Ansu Fati has found full fitness and a bit of form as this season has gone on but the former Barcelona winger is now a doubt for this one due to a hamstring injury sustained against Lille.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Hradecky; Vanderson, Sane, Teze, Nazinho; Camara, Zakaria; Coulibaly, Golovin, Detourbet; Brunner
Unavailable: Dier (Injured), Stanis Idumbo (Injured), Ansu Fati (Injured)

Paris vs Monaco prediction
Monaco head to the capital city in indifferent form domestically, despite remaining tucked inside the top four ahead of this match day. Even at their best they weren’t the most fluent going forward, having scored just 11 goals thus far. They do have one of the best defensive records in the division and the same can be said for their hosts with Monaco one of three teams, alongside Lille and Olympique Lyonnais, to have conceded fewer than Paris and so a low-scoring contest may well be a good bet for this one.
Paris vs Monaco tip: Under 2.5 goals
