Olympique de Marseille have turned their form around and the same can be said for Toulouse as they face off against each other at Stade Velodrome on Sunday.

Marseille preview: Back in form

Financial restrictions meant that Olympique de Marseille could not sign any new players in the summer and it led to a poor start to the campaign for Bruno Genesio but the hosts have now managed three successive victories.

Marseille did manage to get past Le Havre last weekend with an entertaining 4-3 victory but it was a victory that ended up in doubt. 4-0 up inside 55 minutes, a late Le Havre comeback was eventually seen off by the often chaotic l’OM.

Toulouse preview: Improved visitors

Carlos Martinez Novell departed Stadium de Toulouse for Bayer Leverkusen in the summer and he was replaced by the poaching of Motherwell boss Jens Bjerthel Askou; and there was again some teething issues at the start of this season.

However, they now head into this one on the back of a six-match unbeaten run of form, albeit they were frustrated in their most recent outing with a goalless draw against a struggling Troyes side last weekend.

Marseille team news: Nothing fresh

With a small squad due to those financial restrictions, Marseille have no fresh injury concerns and that is handy for Bruno Genesio with only Canada international centre-back Derek Cornelius remaining sidelined for the hosts.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): De Lange; Weah, Egan-Riley, Aguerd, Emerson; Nkada, Hojbjerg; Harit, Abdelli, Igor Paixao; Gouiri

Unavailable: Cornelius (Injured)

Questionable:

Toulouse team news: Messali out

Key wing-back Rafik Messali has been ruled out for this one after a thigh injury he sustained against Troyes with both Mathys Niflore and Sion Oppong both doubtful.

Predicted XI (4-4-2): Restes; Koumbassa, Nicolaisen, McKenzie, Tape; Donnum, Cristian Casseres Jr, Sigur, Jorgensen; Russell-Rowe, Jorgensen

Unavailable: Messali (Injured)

Questionable: Niflore (Fitness), Oppong (Injured)

Marseille vs Toulouse prediction

Toulouse had begun to find some rhythm and fluency as the season has gone on but they were left frustrated and blunted by a defensive Troyes side. They now head to a Marseille side that will not seek the control of that one. Marseille will be favourites for this one but the form of both sides should ensure it is quite an entertaining watch for the neutral on Sunday.

Marseille vs Toulouse tip: Marseille to win & both teams to score
