Troyes preview: Struggling Troyes

Following their promotion to the top-flight last season, Troyes had initially shown some competitiveness with four point collected from their opening two matches before a five-match losing streak.

That run of form left them tucked inside the bottom two and the automatic relegation places but the hosts did manage to get themselves a goalless draw at Stadium de Toulouse against an improved Toulouse side last weekend.

Le Mans preview: Competitive but struggling

Le Mans have been competitive throughout the opening eight games of the Ligue 1 campaign having joined Troyes in gaining Ligue 2 promotion last season but, under the management of Patrick Videira, have won just one of eight games thus far.

Le Mans, like Troyes, did earn themselves a point at Stade de l’Abbe Deschamps last weekend with Lucas Bouades opening the scoring in a goal that is disputed as to whether it crossed the line before Cameron Archer then equalised.

Troyes team news: Couple of absentees

Troyes continue to have a couple of absentees for this one such as Anis Ouzenadji and Yacouba Kone with both Yvann Titi and Ismael Boura working their way back to full fitness.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Konate; Maronnier, Monfray, Diaz, Gozzi; Mille, Dermane, Diop; Nkada, Ripart, Ifnaoui

Unavailable: Ouzenadji (Injured), Kone (Injured)

Questionable: Titi (Fitness), Boura (Fitness)

Le Mans team news: Fresh injuries

Le Mans have some fresh injury issues for this one as former Monaco right-back Djibril Sidibe is sidelined, while former Liverpool wing-back Yasser Larouci is also a doubt due to a groin issue.

Predicted XI (3-2-2-3): Kocik; Bamba, Yohou, Raul Torrente; Bretelle, Lauray; Buades, Calodat; Rabillard, Mafouta, Diallo

Unavailable: Sidibe (Injured), Bourabaa (Injured)

Questionable: Voyer (Fitness), Larouci (Injured), Colas (Fitness)

Troyes vs Le Mans prediction

Troyes looked as though they may be a team that can compete and steady themselves in Ligue 1 but the hosts have instead underwhelmed since then, albeit did again show some fight last week. Le Mans head to Troyes having played a fair bit better than their opponents and they have shown some more in the final third, too, and so siding with the visitors would appear the way to go for this one.

Troyes vs Le Mans tip: Double chance – Le Mans to win or draw
