An outstanding defensive performance saw Lincoln City get the better of fellow promoted side Bolton Wanderers at the weekend. It was a huge effort from the Imps who now have mid-table Blackburn Rovers on deck. Tony Mowbray’s side have picked up four points from a possible nine, most recently losing 1-2 at home to QPR.
Each of Blackburn’s games have proven entertaining so far, both teams scoring in all three. It’s hard to see Lincoln being able to keep consecutive clean sheets after such a huge effort physically on Saturday, but the hosts boast enough juice offensively to create enough opportunities to score against Mowbray’s men. With that in mind, backing both teams to find the net looks a smart move.
