Preston North End haven’t had a great transfer market and that has bled into their start to the season, losing three from three. Most recently, Paul Heckingbottom’s side were beaten 1-0 by Charlton Athletic at the Valley and this is a match with significant pressure on PNE even though we’re only just out of August.
Bristol City picked up a big 2-1 victory over Portsmouth at the weekend and will prove tough to break down for Preston. On the road, Michael Skubala should set his side up fairly defensively and disciplined off the ball. Against a home team who have struggled mightily up top, this may lead to more frustration for Preston and backing Bristol City via the double chance market to pick up something from this game warrants consideration.
