20-year-old Ally Pally debutant Charlie Manby would have probably been happy with just the one victory in what is his first foray into the PDC World Darts Championship, but the Development Tour qualifier now finds himself just one victory away from a spot in the quarter-finals.
'Champagne Charlie' defeated crowd favourite Ricky Evans 4-2 in the third round, although he only had to average 89.50 in doing so.
Gian van Veen, heavily fancied to go far before the tournament, has lived up to his billing so far with three dominant displays in what is only his second participation at the worlds.
The Dutch talent, who defeated Madars Razma 4-1 last time out, boasts a tournament average in excess of 100 and has been playing with plenty confidence since he won the European Championship in late October.
Manby has enjoyed a fine tournament so far, but it's fair to say that his opponents haven't hit the heights that Van Veen is capable of.
Van Veen will back himself here and we expect the tenth seed to progress while hitting the most maximums.
