Luke Littler vs David Davies prediction
Luke Littler opened the defence of his world title with a 3-0 victory over tricky customer Darius Labanauskas on the first day of the tournament.
There were very little signs of nerves from the 18-year-old, whose 101.54 average remains the highest at this year's PDC World Darts Championship (at the time of writing).
Meanwhile, it was an Ally Pally debut to remember for part-time Welshman David Davies who, after coming through the last-ditch qualifier in November, defeated Belgium's Mario Vandenbogaerde 3-0 in the first round.
Davies, who plays predominantly on the Challenge Tour, now faces the biggest challenge of his darting career on Sunday evening, when he takes on the world number one.
While his Welsh supporters will hope for a fairytale, the reality is that Littler should sweep Davies aside if he play anywhere close to his A-game. Davies will relish the experience, but a whitewash victory for the reigning champion is on the cards.
