Ryan Searle's 4-0 victory over Hames Hurrell in the fourth round continued his remarkable record of winning every set he has contested in this year's PDC World Darts Championship, with 'Heavy Metal' averaging over 100 for the second match in succession to reach his first Ally Pally quarter-final.
Searle has been incredible on his doubles and is running at over 50% across his four matches to date, but what should be taken into account is that none of his opponents have averaged over 90 against him.
Jonny Clayton, meanwhile, was put through the mill by Swedish qualifier Andreas Harrysson but won the last three sets to move into last eight for the second time in his career.
