Dave Chisnall vs Ricardo Pietreczko prediction
On paper, Dave Chisnall advanced through to the second round comfortably with a straight-sets win over Fallon Sherrock. But the stats suggest a different story as Chizzy averaged just 89.66 with only two 180s, which is significantly below his expectations. However, he benefitted from Sherrock missing a whopping 20 of her 23 attempts at double.
The likelihood is that Chisnall won’t get away with a similar showing against the dangerous Ricardo Pietreczko. The German got the better of former Grand Slam of Darts winner Jose de Sousa by three sets to one, averaging over 90 with double the number of maximums managed by Chisnall. Ranked just 12 places behind Chizzy in the PDC World Rankings, Pietreczko is playing better darts right now.
Chisnall has struggled to find his best darts for a while now and if he was to go behind here, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the 45-year-old was unable to claw his way back into this one. Pietreczko has already taken out one notable name in De Sousa and is well worth backing to beat another in round two.
