After being given a run for his money by Sebastian Bialecki in the first round, Stephen Bunting made much more serene progress in the second, seeing off Indian hope Nitin Kumar for the loss of just two legs.
'The Bullet' has hovered around the mid 90s when it comes to his tournament average, and he has generally been a reliable performer on the Alexandra Palace stage, most recently reaching the semi-finals last year.
He should not underestimate former WDF number one James Hurrell though, who has already accounted for a seed in the tournament after he outlasted Dirk van Duijvenbode 3-2 in an entertaining second-round clash.
Hurrell hit a mammoth ten 180s in that match, while Bunting is known for his proficiency on the treble 20 bed. Expect plenty of maximums to be traded here, in what has the potential to be a cracking game.
