16th seed Damon Heta survived a scare against qualifier Stefan Bellmont in the second round, with the Aussie needing to come from 1-2 behind in sets.
The scoring wasn't quite there for 'The Heat', but similar to his first-round triumph over Steve Lennon, his finishing was on point. Indeed, the 2022 World Cup of Darts winner as finished over half of his attempts at a double in the 2025-26 PDC World Darts Championship.
Rob Cross hasn't played his best darts so far in the event, but he hasn't need to with both Cor Dekker and Ian White delivering poor performances against the 2018 world champion.
Cross has struggled to motivate himself at times during 2025, by his own admission, and that could catch up with him here with the hungrier Heta tipped to progress.
