Krzysztof Ratajski heads into Ally Pally at number 37 in the world, so there’s plenty of room for him to rise up the ranks with a run to the latter stages in the World Darts Championship. Poland’s current number one ranked player is a former BDO World Masters champion and PDC World Darts Championship quarter-finalist.
Ratajski has an impressive resume when it comes to televised tournaments across his career. He’s reached the last eight in all four of the main major competitions on the PDC calendar, the World Darts Championship, World Matchday, World Grand Prix and UK Open. However, Alexis Toylo won in the first round at Ally Pally last year and shouldn’t be underestimated.
Toylo averaged 86 in a 3-0 win over Richard Veenstra and impressed at the recent Grand Slam of Darts with a 167 finish against Luke Woodhouse. A slow player and calm under pressure, he could easily frustrate Ratajski and it would be no surprise to see him push his opponent to the limit.
