Damon Heta navigated the first hurdle at this year's PDC World Darts Championship by seeing off Steve Lennon 3-1, with the Aussie averaging in the low 90s and taking out an impressive 57.9% of his doubles against the Irishman.
Heta really needs a strong showing at Ally Pally to put himself in the conversation for next year's Premier League, as he has failed to really make a dent in any televised event in 2025.
Stefan Bellmont won on the Alexandra Palace stage for the first time when he took advantage of a wasteful Raymond van Barneveld in the first round. The Swiss thrower averaged less than the five-time world champion but was clinical when he needed to be.
Heta will surely not be as charitable though, and you have to fancy the Aussie here. It is unlikely to be one-sided, but we expect Heta to get the job done.
