World number 16 Damon Heta will be hoping to match or beat his best performance at Ally Pally this year after reaching the round of 16 two years ago.
The Australian star has had a decent year on the tour and The Heat will be hoping to start well and avoid any upsets.
He meets Steve Lennon in the final match on Friday night and the Irishman will be no pushover.
The 32-year-old has struggled in the last couple of years to find anything close to his best form but he will see this as a free hit after he missed the tournament last year.
Lennon has found this tournament to be pretty tough but he has always put on a fighting performance even in defeat.
We cannot see anything other than a Heta win but we like Lennon’s chances of winning at least one set.
