Mike De Decker vs David Munyua prediction
David Munyua will have a whole country behind him as he takes to the Ally Pally stage for the first time in his career. A full-time vet for a living, Munya made it into the competition through the African Darts Group qualifier and this represents a dream opportunity for him, also the first time he has been ventured outside of Africa in his life.
De Decker’s darting pedigree speaks for itself. A World Grand Prix winner, the Belgian is gunning for a top ten ranking and needs a deep run here at Ally Pally to achieve it. This year saw him reach the Australian Darts Masters final, which saw him lose to Luke Littler. He has also reached the second round of the World Darts Championship in each of his last four appearances.
Munyua has nothing to lose here and is very much a wildcard. De Decker needs to play professionally and his rhythm early on. When taking into account the fact that Munyua likely won’t have faced someone of De Decker’s standard, the sensible move would be backing the latter to win in straight sets.
Mike De Decker vs David Munyua tip: Mike De Decker to win 3-0
