Ryan Searle is notorious for starting televised tournaments strongly and this year’s World Darts Championship was no different as he crushed Chris Landman 3-0, averaging just under 50% on the doubles. He now faces Brendan Dolan, who has proven to be a very tough out across the last couple of years at Ally Pally, losing to Luke Littler and Michael van Gerwen in the quarter-finals and third round respectively.
It's hard to ignore that Ryan Searle has reached at least the third round in all seven of his previous World Darts Championship appearances. He has the ability to score heavier than Dolan throughout most of this match, but the 'History Maker' is notorious for big checkouts and keeping his composure on the doubles when it matters most.
This game is very much capable of going the distance when taking into account the quality of both these two players. It may well be hard to separate them and backing over 4.5 total sets feels like a shrewd play to make.
