Former WDF number one James Hurrell is back at the PDC World Darts Championship after making the second round on debut last year, defeating Jim Long 3-0 before a defeat by the same scoreline to eventual runner-up Michael van Gerwen.
'Hillbilly' should be feeling good about his games after reaching the third round of the recent Players Championship finals in Minehead, notably defeating Jonny Clayton along the way.
USA's Stowe Buntz, meanwhile, is appearing at the worlds for the third time after finishing high up the CDC rankings. The 46-year-old has failed to win a set on his previous two appearances though, losing 3-0 to both Kevin Doets and Nick Kenny.
Buntz is a former Grand Slam quarter-finalist, but he generally averages below the 90 mark. Hurrell's ceiling is higher and he is playing some solid darts right now. We expect the Englishman to progress.
