Cambridge vs Oldham prediction

Under the management of former Millwall boss Neil Harris, Cambridge United come into this one on the back of a comfortable 2-0 defeat of Newport County in their most recent outing. They were tipped to struggle by many this season, but the U’s appear to be more than a strong enough side to compete for the top seven.

They now face an Oldham Athletic side that, coached by Micky Mellon, gained promotion via the National League playoffs last season. The Latics have struggled at the start of this season, with the visitors’ 1-0 defeat to Gillingham last week meaning that they are winless in eight matches across all competitions so far.

Oldham’s performances haven’t necessarily been too poor but, away from home, Cambridge would have to be viewed as the favourites for this one at the Abbey Stadium.

Cambridge vs Oldham tip: Cambridge to win & under 3.5 goals
