Lugano come into this one on the back of easing past Kosovan outfit Dukagjini in the second qualifying round. They won the first-leg 1-0 in Switzerland before winning by five goals to one away from home. They have started their Swiss Super League campaign with back-to-back defeats against Vaduz and then Grasshoppers.
NSI Runavik overcame Hamrun Spartans in the first qualifying round, snatching that tie with a 2-1 win in the second-leg away from home. They then went away to Slovenia to defeat Koper on penalties in the second qualifying round.
NSI Runavik have performed better away from home, while Lugano were shaky in their home leg against Dukagjini so while the Swiss remain favourites, it might not be a hammering.
