FC Cincinnati come into this one on the back of a comfortable 3-1 defeat of Pachuca in their opening game the other day, coming from behind. They have performed well as they sit tucked inside the top seven of the Eastern Conference in Major League Soccer.
Pumas UNAM had started well in the 2026-27 Liga MX Apertura with two victories in their opening three matches but they started the league phase of the CONCACAF Leagues Cup with a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Charlotte the other day.
Mexican sides have struggled to cope with the mid-season energy of the Americans in this competition and Cincinnati therefore have to be viewed as favourites here, too.
