Napoli vs Lazio prediction

Napoli come into this one on the back of being hammered 4-1 by FC Porto in the UEFA Champions League in midweek. Prior to that loss to the Portuguese champions, Napoli had succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to fellow underperformers Juventus in Turin and pressure is growing on Allegri in the Neapolitan dugout.

Lazio have surpassed expectations amid war being waged by the supporters on the hierarchy of the club but attendances are increasing with the Laziale having enjoyed their strongest start to a Serie A season ever. Their come from behind 2-1 defeat of Cagliari last week leaves them top ahead of this weekend’s round of fixtures.

Even if Napoli can get themselves a result here, it feels inevitable Allegri will soon depart and Lazio should be backed to hasten that in Naples on Sunday.
