Torreense vs Ararat-Armenia prediction

Torreense have enjoyed their first taste of this competition, even if the results have been mixed. They sit 28th in the league phase table on three points heading into Thursday's fixtures, thanks to a 2-1 win at Lillestrom on Matchday 1, before defeats to Sunderland and Ferencvaros. The Portuguese second-tier side have shown they can score and be exposed in equal measure, and domestically they have drawn 0-0 at Portimonense and beaten Amarante 1-0 in their last two games.

Ararat-Armenia are on the bottom rung, sitting 36th with no points heading into Thursday's fixtures after three heavy defeats to Sparta Prague, Jagiellonia and AZ Alkmaar. They have scored just twice and conceded 11, so confidence in Europe is understandably low.

The bookmakers make Torreense narrow favourites, but neither side has shown much defensive solidity on this stage. All three of Torreense's league phase games have had three or more goals, as have all three of Ararat's, so we expect an open game with chances at both ends.

Torreense vs Ararat-Armenia tip: Over 2.5 goals
