Hapoel Be'er Sheva vs OFI Crete prediction
Hapoel Be'er Sheva sit 30th in the league phase table on one point heading into Thursday's fixtures. A goalless draw with Dinamo Zagreb was followed by a 2-1 defeat at AZ Alkmaar and a heavy 4-0 loss to Royale Union SG, so the pressure is building. Domestically, however, they are flying, with six straight wins in the Israeli league, including back-to-back 5-2 victories in their last two games, and they are third in the table.
OFI Crete sit 26th on three points heading into Thursday's fixtures after beating Hoffenheim 2-0 on Matchday 1, a result that gave them real belief. They have since lost to Rennes and Bayer Leverkusen, though, and have won just two of their last eight games in all competitions, including a 1-0 win at Panetolikos on Sunday that eased some of the pressure.
The odds have Hapoel as narrow favourites, and with both sides needing points to stay in the hunt for the top 24, this could be a tight affair. Hapoel's domestic goalscoring form is a big positive and OFI lost their only away league phase game at Rennes, so we think the hosts are the safer side to avoid defeat.
Hapoel Be'er Sheva vs OFI Crete tip: Double chance – Hapoel Be'er Sheva to win or draw
