Under the improved ownership of Michelle Kang after John Textor, Olympique Lyonnais qualified for the UEFA Champions League for the first time since the 2019-20 season last year under the management of Paulo Fonseca. They need to come from behind here, though, against Czech giants Sparta Prague in France.
The first-leg of this UEFA Champions League third qualifying round tie, Sparta Prague came from behind to defeat Lyon by two goals to one at epet ARENA in the Czech capital city of Prague. Lyon took the lead via a Martin Suchomel own goal before Sparta came from behind in the second half with strikes from Matej Rynes and John Mercado.
Sparta will be obdurate opposition with Lyon still in pre-season but the French outfit have to remain favourites for this second-leg at Parc OL.
