Swedish Allsvenskan outfit IFK Goteborg scrambled their way through to the third qualifying round as they take on an underperforming Gent side this week.

Goteborg vs Gent prediction
After qualifying for Europe last season, Goteborg have been struggling throughout the 2026 Swedish Allsvenskan campaign. After losing their second qualifying round first-leg at home to Levadia Tallinn, they managed to progress after extra-time in Estonia last week.
Gent have underperformed both domestically and on the continent for the last couple of years and they were hardly convincing in their second qualifying round tie as they defeated Ukrainian side LNZ Cherkasy on penalties.
Gent struggled for goals in the previous round and Goteborg are expected to struggle once again here, with a low-scoring encounter expected for this first-leg.
