Club America come into this one on the back of a 3-0 hammering of Santos Laguna at the weekend. That means they sit at the top-of-the-table with seven points from three matches in the 2026-27 Liga MX Apertura.
They now face a San Diego side that most recently shared a 1-1 draw with Minnesota United last week. That has continued a fairly frustrating campaign after they won the Western Conference in their debut season as a franchise in 2025.
San Diego have returned from the break for FIFA World Cup 2026 in improved form but America are much the stronger of the two teams and should win at the Azteca.
