Last season’s Liga MX Clausura winners Cruz Azul have started the 2026-27 Liga MX Apertura campaign with two victories and a defeat. They most recently succumbed to an entertaining 3-2 loss at home to Atlante at the weekend.
The Philadelphia Union have improved since they returned to action after the break for FIFA World Cup 2026 but they remain third-from-bottom in the Eastern Conference in Major League Soccer with just four victories in their 18 matches.
Philly have beaten Atlanta United and the Seattle Sounders in their last couple of games but this is a step up and Cruz Azul should come out on top here, even at Subaru Park.
