NEC vs Olympiacos prediction
At the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium in Piraeus last week in the first-leg of this UEFA Champions League third qualifying round tie, Olympiacos and NEC Nijmegen shared a goalless draw.
NEC have a fairly limited squad but performed well to qualify for the UEFA Champions League for the first time ever last year under the management of Dirk Schreuder. Olympiacos, still coached by former Sevilla boss Jose Luis Mendilibar, finished as runners-up to AEK Athens in the Greek Super League last season and there has been a regression from them since they won the 2023-24 UEFA Europa Conference League.
Olympiacos have been better on the counter-attack under Jose Luis Mendilibar with a low-scoring encounter once again to be expected at Gofferstadion in the Netherlands.
