LDU Quito vs Sao Paulo prediction

LDU Quito reached the quarter-finals for the first time since 2019 courtesy of a 2-1 aggregate victory over Brazilian outfit Botafogo in the round of 16.

The Ecuadorian side haven’t gone beyond the last eight since they won the 2008 Copa Libertadores – to date their only triumph in South America’s premier continental competition.

It’s been nine years since Sao Paulo progressed to the last four, but they will fancy their chances given that they are unbeaten in this year’s competition so far. They did, however, require penalties to defeat Atletico Nacional in the round of 16, after the two-legged tie ended 1-1.

The visitors are generally a solid defensive side and they will be content with a low-scoring first leg in Ecuador. Under 2.5 goals is the tip.
