Tottenham preview: Woeful season
It has been a woeful campaign for Tottenham Hotspur with Thomas Frank and Igor Tudor overseeing Spurs sinking towards the Championship and, despite a slight improvement under Roberto De Zerbi, it is proving to be difficult to keep them afloat.
Spurs were unbeaten in four matches and seemingly on the verge of securing their survival in midweek before succumbing to another defeat at Stamford Bridge against an underperforming Chelsea side.
Everton preview: Moyes could save West Ham again
With former West Ham United boss David Moyes at the helm, Everton could do a massive favour to the Irons and continuing what has been an impressive record away from home this season.
Frustratingly for the Toffees, though, they cannot qualify for Europe anymore after taking a 1-0 lead at home to Sunderland last week but being beaten 3-1 on Merseyside to extend their winless run of form to six matches.
Tottenham team news: Maddison could start
Having been eased back into the side of late after his lengthy injury layoff, Roberto De Zerbi has said that he will make a late call on whether or not James Maddison will start on the final day.
Fellow Englishman Dominic Solanke has returned to full fitness and could also be involved, while Djed Spence suffered a facial injury against Chelsea.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Vicario; Porro, Danso, Van de Ven, Udogie; Bentancur, Gallagher; Kolo Muani, Maddison, Tel; Richarlison
Unavailable: Romero (Injured), Davies (Injured), Kudus (Injured), Kulusevski (Injured), Simons (Injured), Odobert (Injured)
Questionable: Spence (Injured)
Everton team news: Gueye could return
Everton head down to the capital city with Senegal international midfielder, just selected by the Lions of Teranga for FIFA World Cup 2026, described as being ’50-50’ by David Moyes.
The experienced midfielder has been sidelined for a few weeks, alongside England international duo Jarrad Branthwaite and Jack Grealish.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Pickford; O’Brien, Tarkowski, Keane, Mykolenko; Iroegbunam, Garner; Rohl, Dewsbury-Hall, Ndiaye; Beto
Unavailable: Branthwaite (Injured), Grealish (Injured)
Questionable: Gueye (Injured)
Tottenham vs Everton prediction
Due to their superior goal difference, Tottenham only need a point to survive. However, they are coming up against an Everton side that have the sixth best away record in the league with only Arsenal and Manchester City having won more than them. As for Spurs, they have the joint-worst home record in the division with just two victories – the same as Burnley and fewer than Wolves. The pressure will mount and be quite loud from the off if Spurs start slowly here. Everton really will fancy themselves to play their part in something potentially remarkable.
Tottenham vs Everton tip: Double chance – Everton to win or draw
