Ararat-Armenia vs Celje prediction
In the second qualifying round, Ararat-Armenia won the first-leg by two goals to nil in Yerevan before going 2-0 down by half time against Shamrock Rovers. The Armenians then did snatch a late winner, losing 2-1 on the night, to push themselves into the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League for the first time ever.
Slovenian champions Celje held on to the Slovenian title last season, despite the departure of Albert Riera to Eintracht Frankfurt. Celje reached the knockout play-offs of the UEFA Europa Conference League after reaching the quarter-finals of that competition the year before. Celje made it to this stage on the back of a penalty shootout victory against Egnatia in the second qualifying round.
Celje are a team that have been steadily improving and impressing in UEFA competition and they have to be viewed as favourites for this one over two legs against Ararat.
