The now former Newcastle United winger endured a rollercoaster season at St James’ Park, with his statistics and output swelled by a high-scoring UEFA Champions League campaign which saw him notch ten goals in 12 appearances – with half of those coming from the penalty spot. Gordan is a player that Thomas Tuchel has admired for a while, having been linked with signing him whilst Chelsea boss. His speed and directness needs to be complimented more by improved efficiency in the final third but he remains in a good position to be their potential starting left-winger ahead of Marcus Rashford with it potentially being a straight fight between the pair for a place in the XI.
